Wednesday Homeschool Clay Club September 9, 2026 – December 16, 2026 Wednesdays 9:30-11:30 AM 12 Classes | Fall Semester Fall 2026 Class Dates September: 9, 16, 23 October: 7, 14, 21 November: 4, 11, 18 December: 2, 9, 16 December 16th: Party and Gallery Day End-of-Semester Party & Gallery: December 16 Clay Club is a creative, hands-on pottery experience where homeschool students can learn, experiment, and create at their own pace. Whether your child is brand new to pottery or already loves working with clay, they’ll be guided based on their individual interests and skill level. Students will work with both the pottery wheel and hand-building techniques, creating pieces that are uniquely their own. What Students Will Do 🏺 Explore the pottery wheel and develop throwing skills ✋ Learn hand-building techniques including slabs, coils, and pinch pots 🎨 Experiment with texture, carving, and surface design 🔥 Learn about glazing and the firing process 💡 Develop their own projects based on their interests 🤝 Learn alongside other young artists in a supportive studio environment A beginner might be learning how to center clay for the first time, while a more experienced student is working on a more advanced project. Students have the opportunity to learn from one another, share ideas, and see different approaches to working with clay. There is no pressure to be perfect—just a welcoming, judgment-free space to get creative, build skills, and have fun. No previous pottery experience is required! Flexible Make-Up Policy We know homeschool schedules can get busy! If your student needs to miss a class due to a scheduling conflict, they may make up up to two missed classes by attending another Wednesday session, with at least 24 hours' notice. Make-up sessions are subject to availability and must be arranged in advance. Because pottery takes time to dry, glaze, and move through the kiln, the semester schedule is intentionally paced to allow plenty of time for the ceramic process, studio preparation, and holidays. Come Create With Us! Clay Club is more than a pottery class—it’s a place for homeschool kids to get their hands dirty, try new things, build confidence, make friends, and discover what they can create.
